Bethesda Project's Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB) is a diverse group of young professionals in the greater Philadelphia area that works to increase awareness of homelessness throughout the community, raise funds for Bethesda Project through a variety of efforts, and volunteer in different capacities across the organization.

What the YPAB does

Since its inception in 2015, the YPAB works in three ways to support the growth of Bethesda Project and assist the programs and services that support people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia, including:

  1. Fundraising: the YPAB assists Bethesda Project by coordinating fundraising events, promote sponsorships for organization events, and introduce new supporters to the organization and its impact. This includes coordinating events that include happy hours, fitness classes, raffles, and walking history tours

  2. Volunteering: members of the YPAB donate their own time by helping coordinate events as well as assisting our sites by preparing and serving meals, coordinating on-site events like BINGO, and/or helping with other essential volunteer tasks.

  3. Awareness: YPAB members actively promote Bethesda Project its its life-changing mission to their personal and professional networks.

Members of the YPAB also serve on organization-wide committees to support the growth of the organization.
